Taylor Hagler to lead Hyundai’s World Racing League Debut
Taylor Hagler is set to represent Hyundai in the World Racing League (WRL) season finale at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) on December 3-5th behind the wheel of the No. 98 Hyundai Veloster N TCR that will compete in the top GTO class.
Hagler will lead the all female entry in the No. 98 Hyundai with Ayla Agren, Sabre Cook and Val Limoges completing the lineup. While it will be Hagler’s first WRL appearance, she brings vast experience at COTA with her as the 3.4-mile course serves as the Texas-native’s home track where she has made eight starts since starting her racing career in 2019.
The World Racing League features an all endurance racing platform with four classes determined by a power-to-weight ratio – GTO, GP1, GP2, GP3. The No. 98 Hyundai Veloster N TCR will run in GTO, the fastest of the four categories.
The race weekend at COTA features two eight-hour endurance races on Saturday and Sunday.
“I’m really excited to see this project reach the track this weekend at COTA,” said Hagler. “Hyundai is focused on expanding their footprint in motorsports and this is a great step for them with the TCR and TCA cars. It was great working with Bryan on the driver lineup and putting together a group of fast and experienced racers to debut the Hyundai Veloster N TCR in WRL. We are all excited to get started in Austin.” The endurance weekend at COTA begins Friday, December 3rd with practice and qualifying before 16-hours of racing on Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th.
