SRO Homecoming at COTA for Taylor Hagler
Taylor Hagler will be racing back on home soil for Rounds Three and Four of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS at Circuit of the Americas April 30th to May 2nd. Hagler will be joined by teammate Jacob Abel in the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo.
Hagler began her full-time SRO season at Sonoma Raceway last month where she started the year in strong fashion. She scored back-to-back podium finishes in the Pro-Am category.
Partnering with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) for the race weekend, Hagler will help promote the #MentalHealth4All campaign during Mental Health Awareness Month beginning May 1st. The campaign focuses on encouraging friends, family and communities to bring awareness and support mental health and mental health services.
“I began working with AFSP to bring awareness to their #MentalHealth4All campaign,” said Hagler. “Being an ambassador for the awareness of mental health is an honor because it is so important in all parts of our lives.”
Having made several race starts at COTA, including two in TC America competition in 2020, this weekend will mark the first time that Hagler takes on the 3.47-mile track onboard the Acura NSX GT3 Evo.
“I am excited for this coming weekend at COTA with GT World Challenge America,” continued Hagler. “This is my home track and also a favorite of mine. I will have a lot of support for this event from family and friends. I’m looking forward to making my first laps in the NSX GT3 Evo on home ground. The Racers Edge team has some good momentum coming off the double podium weekend at Sonoma and I’m looking forward to working with Jacob Abel in our No. 93 Acura. Like Dakota (Dickerson), we worked together in the NSX GT3 Academy and he always had great pace and we had a good time throughout the program.”
Hagler’s hometown weekend at the Circuit of the Americas runs Friday, April 30th to Sunday, May 2nd. The two 90-minute sprint races will take place on Saturday and Sunday. Live streaming of Race One and Two will be available at youtube.com/GTworld.
