Michael Lewis: “Laguna Seca is such a great track. It’s a track that provides a lot of action for the drivers as there are many corners back-to-back and there is no time to rest. It’s a fun challenge to keep in flowing with a rhythm to nail each turn and to be mistake free. Our Bryan Herta Autosport Veloster N race car is so good on braking, turning, and getting to power efficiently so I think this whole track really suits our car because of all the turns and the short straits.” Best part of Laguna Seca: “My favorite part of this track is probably Turn 6 and going up the hill to the corkscrew. T6 is really fast and challenging and then the drive up the hill is crazy as you just see blue sky before you get to the brake zone. It’s a cool feeling to experience. We hope to put on a good show for the fans here and for Hyundai at their home race.” | Taylor Hagler: “I am looking forward to getting back in our Veloster N TCR at Laguna and continuing our hunt for a championship. We didn’t have our best weekend at Road America, but that has helped us focus on what we need to do for the last three races to finish strong. I only have one start at Laguna Seca in 2020 and it was one of our better races last season.” Best part of Laguna Seca: “I really enjoy turn 6 at Laguna Seca, it is a very unique corner and very high speed. It can help you set up for a good move on the brakes into The Corkscrew. We are always good on the brakes with our Veloster N!” |
