A Weekend of Firsts Ahead for Taylor Hagler at Lime Rock Park
After scoring two podium finishes at Watkins Glen International just two weeks ago, Taylor Hagler heads to Lime Rock Park (LRP) for the Lime Rock 120 July 16-17th (TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold, 11:00AM ET).
Hagler will make her first IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (IMPC) race start at Lime Rock Park in the No. 77 Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA) Hyundai Veloster N TCR with teammate Michael Lewis on Saturday.
Hagler has flourished when faced with new tracks and Lime Rock Park will be another new track for the Texas natives’ rapidly growing resume. During her Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course debut in 2020 – which staged a double-header, Hagler raced to her first IMSA podium, and just a few hours later secured her first MOTUL pole award.
The No. 77 Hyundai driver duo of Hagler and Lewis bring championship leading momentum to the IMSA weekend in Connecticut after scoring four consecutive podium finishes in the TCR class so far this season.
Ready for her debut at the “Bullring,” Hagler is eager to welcome the challenge and thrill of a sub-one minute lap time.
“It has been a while since I have visited a track I had never been to before, but it is a great opportunity to test myself as a driver,” said Hagler. “Michael (Lewis) and I have had a great season so far and with a well prepared car like BHA provides, we will be fighting for a win this weekend. I don’t think I have ever had a lap time under one minute. It doesn’t seem like much, but when everything is based on lap times and speed, it will be an exciting moment in my career. We are in the TCR class championship lead and our goal is to continue pushing ourselves to keep the No. 77 BHA Hyundai Veloster N TCR at the top.”
Taylor Hagler will take the green flag in the No. 77 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Veloster N TCR for the Lime Rock Park 120 on Saturday, July 17th at 11:00AM ET. Live flag-to-flag race coverage will be available via TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold.
